- All-Ukrainian Association of Teachers of History, Civic Education and Social Studies "NOVA DOBA" was established and registered on February 9, 2001 on the basis of Regional Association of Teachers of History and Social Studies "Doba" and is its successor.
- Nova Doba was registered on April 25, 2001 in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
- Nova Doba is an independent, voluntary and non-governmental organization.
- Nova Doba is the all-national association of teachers of history and civics of Ukraine, including 24 collective members. “Nova Doba” presents the professional interests of more than 800 teachers, members of the association from different regions of Ukraine.
- At present Nova Doba is a member of EUROCLIO – The European Association of Teachers of History, EUSTORY – The European Network of Youth Historical Competitions, CIVITAS International – international organization on civic education.
"Nova Doba" Activities:
- Holding a regular program of historical student competitions EUSTORY - "On the Tracks of History"
- Conducting annual all-Ukrainian project "Citizen" for school students
- Developing educational materials for school history and civic education courses
- Developing methodological materials for teachers on history and civic education
- Facilitating social and political discussions for school students of Ukraine
- Project for teaching elections "Young people choose the future"
- Holding conferences, training seminars, round table discussions for teachers and administration representatives of educational institutions on topical issues of historic and civic education.
- Providing consultations, methodological and information assistance for educators.
- Publishing history and civic education journal "Doba”
- Foundation and functioning of the History and Civic Education Center 2000
- Integration of civic education elements into a school curriculum.
- Participation in discussion and official evaluation of state education curricula and textbooks of social studies
